Author Biography

Balthazar Bellion, Thompson Rivers University

Balthazar Bellion is a third-year student at Thompson Rivers University, majoring in economic and political sciences with a minor in business law. Balthazar Bellion is the author of the special issue "Afforestation and reforestation as cost-effective mitigation tools” from the book “Future Earth: A Student Journal on Sustainability and the Environment”. They have participated in the improvement of their university’s campus life as a representative member of the student caucus and vice president of a university club. They have participated in the process of tree planting through volunteering and have inquired about tree planting thanks to the City of Kamloops' resources and guidance, such as the Urban Tree Tour. They are from France and migrated to Canada in 2021. They have been living in Kamloops, B.C., for the past 5 years and wish to bring any contributions to the betterment of forests and scenery within interior British Columbia.
