Directives aux auteurs-es

We warmly invite you to contribute to CTS 10, “Tourism as... (Criticality as…),” an exploration of ontological possibilities for both tourism and criticality. In this context, the emphasis is on understanding tourism not just as an industry or activity but as a phenomenon deeply embedded in human experience, relationships, and ways of engaging with the world. We welcome submissions that span the spectrum from traditionally academic to innovative, artistic, and experiential. Submissions in English, French, or Spanish are encouraged, as long as they align with the broad field of critical tourism studies or related areas such as critical hospitality, events, leisure, or sport studies. We also invite you to share a favorite poem that captures a tourism metaphor you hold dear, to be compiled into our 20th anniversary celebration book.

As we celebrate CTS's 20th anniversary this June, we also invite you to share your favorite photos from past CTS Conferences! These will be featured in a photo gallery on our site! Feel free to include a brief story about any photo with special meaning.

When submitting, please provide your abstract, poem, and photos as separate files. Ensure your abstract is anonymized (i.e., blinded), while your photo may include identifying details such as your name, if you wish. Submit your abstract and poem files as Microsoft Word documents and your images as JPG files.

*Note: Photos shared on our site will be openly accessible under a CC BY SA license, permitting non-commercial use with the same Share-Alike terms. Please avoid submitting private or sensitive photos you prefer not to share publicly.
